“THE BOROBUDUR TEMPLE”

Borobudur is a hindhu-budha temple built in the 9th century under the syailendra dynasty of java. it is located near magelang. abandoned in the 11th century and partially excavated by archaeologist in the early 20th century, borobudur temple is well known all over the world.

Influenced by the gupta architecture of india, the temple is constructed on a hill 46 m (150 ft) high and consists of eight-step like stone terraces, one on top of the other. the first five terraces are square and surrounded by walls adorned with buddhist sculpture in bas-relief, the upper three are circular, each with a circle of bell-shaped stupas.
the entire edifice is crowned by a large stupa at the center of the top circle. the way to the summit extend through some 4,8 km of passages and stairways. the design of borobudur, a temple mountain symbolizing the structure of the universe, is similar to the temples built at angkor, Cambodia

The borobudur temple, rededicated as an indonesia national monument in 1983, is a valuable treasure for indonesian people.




“CANDI BOROBUDUR”

Borobudur adalah suatu candi hindhu-budha yang dibangun pada abad 9th di bawah syailendra dinasti jawa. yang terletak dekat magelang. yang dikalahkan abad 11th dan secara parsial yang digali oleh ahli arkeologi pada awal abad 20,candi borobudur sangat baik dikenal seluruh penjuru dunia.

Yang dipengaruhi oleh gupta arsitektur india, candi dibangun pada suatu bukit dengan ketinggian 46 m ( 150 ft) dan terdiri dari delapan stepa seperti batu berteras, satu di atas sekali lain. yang pertama lima teras/tingkat-tingkat dan dikepung oleh dinding yang dihiasi dengan buddhist pahat bas-relief, yang bagian atas tiga adalah lingkar, masing-masing dengan suatu lingkaran dari bell-shaped stupas.

Keseluruhan bangunan dimahkotai oleh stupa besar di puncak melingkar. jarak pada puncak meluas sampai sekitar 4,8 km jalan lintasan. perancangan borobudur, suatu gunung candi yang menandakan struktur alam semesta, adalah serupa candi yang di bangun pada angkor, Cambodia

Candi borobudur yang dipersembahkan kembali sebagai suatu tugu nasional tahun 1983, adalah suatu harta benda berharga untuk orang-orang indonesia.
